The Urban Black Swan

The Urban Black Swan is a celebration of freedom, resilience, and self-expression. Created in the first moments after COVID lockdown, it embodies the joy of movement returning to public spaces. As a Black dancer in ballet, it speaks to breaking barriers of representation while also challenging gender binaries through grace, strength, and vulnerability. Set in the city streets, it reimagines ballet as art without walls, where individuality and liberation take centre stage.
