The Snow Fairy belongs to a world of frost, winter and ice. Their magic can turn the landscape silver, summon snow from the sky and create extraordinary beauty from the cold. Far away, the Sugar Plum Fairy rules the warm and abundant Kingdom of Sweets, where colour, music and celebration fill the air.
Once, the two fairies were close. But although both possessed powerful magic, they could never quite understand the way the other chose to use it. Sugar Plum came to see the Snow Fairy as cold and distant. The Snow Fairy, meanwhile, grew envious of Sugar Plum, whose sweetness and warmth seemed to make them loved wherever they went. In time, admiration turned to resentment, resentment became pride, and the two went their separate ways.
Our story opens years later, when the Snow Fairy encounters a group of Snowflakes dancing through the winter. They are breathtaking - elegant, precise and perfectly synchronised - yet as the Snow Fairy watches, they begin to notice something beneath all that perfection. The Snowflakes have become so accustomed to moving, dressing and behaving as one that they have forgotten the individual identities that lie within them.
Recognising something of their own experience in the Snowflakes, the Snow Fairy decides to intervene. Through their magic, they encourage each Snowflake to reveal what was there all along. The uniform ensemble begins to transform, and from it emerge a collection of wonderfully different characters - Tea, Chocolate, Coffee, Marzipan and Peppermint - each with their own personality, movement and story to tell.
Seeing the beauty that has come from allowing difference to flourish gives the Snow Fairy the courage to face something they have avoided for years: returning to the Kingdom of Sweets.
There, the Snow Fairy comes face to face with Sugar Plum once again. Rather than arriving empty-handed, they present the newly transformed sweets as gifts. Sugar Plum invites each of them to step forward and tell their story.
One by one, the kingdom comes alive with different rhythms, personalities and ways of moving. As Sugar Plum watches, they begin to see the Snow Fairy differently. The cold they once dismissed has created something beautiful. And the Snow Fairy, looking around the kingdom, realises that Sugar Plum's warmth was never something to envy, but something that could be shared.
At last, the two acknowledge how their own jealousy, assumptions and pride kept them apart. Both apologise. Neither has to become more like the other; instead, they finally understand that their different kinds of magic can exist side by side.
Sugar Plum opens the doors of the Kingdom of Sweets to the Snow Fairy and their newly transformed companions, while the Snow Fairy brings to the kingdom a new appreciation for everything that makes its inhabitants distinct.
Together, they create a world of their own - a place where nobody has to hide what makes them different in order to belong, and where individuality is not merely accepted, but celebrated.
A World of Our Own reimagines Act II of The Nutcracker as a story of identity, jealousy, forgiveness, generosity and belonging - reminding us that sometimes living happily ever after begins not by overcoming our differences, but by learning to love them.

The Sugar Plum Fairy

Trinidadian dancer Kadeem En Pointe leads the cast as The Sugar Plum Fairy. He trained at the Caribbean School of Dancing in Trinidad and Tobago before moving to the UK, and is the creator of Kadeem En Pointe, a platform exploring ballet beyond traditional ideas of gender and who the art form is for.
His work includes the En Pointe In Public series and All The World’s A Stage, his first independently produced stage production, which premiered at London’s Shaw Theatre in August 2026.

The Snow Fairy

English dancer Evie-Leigh Savage joins the cast as Snow Fairy. She graduated from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in 2025, following her training at London Vocational Ballet School.
Evie-Leigh made her West End debut in 2024 with Complexions Contemporary Ballet and has since worked with companies and organisations including Birmingham Rep, Constella Music and New Adventures, alongside a range of independent choreographers.
Inès vebole
The Nutcracker

French ballet dancer Inès Vebole joins the cast as The Nutcracker. She trained at the Francis Poulenc Municipal Conservatory in Paris, the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse, and English National Ballet School in London.
Her international career has included performing as a demi-soloist with Barcelona Ballet, appearances at New York’s Lincoln Center, and work with Ballet de Montréal and English National Ballet. She has also performed alongside artists including Future and Christina Aguilera.
Inès has received awards at several international competitions, including First Prize with Congratulations at the Toulon International Dance Competition, a Gold Medal at the Biarritz International Dance Competition and a Bronze Medal at TanzOlymp Berlin. She also holds a French State Diploma in Classical Ballet Teaching and works as a teacher and choreographer.

Australian multidisciplinary dance artist Lyla Bautista joins the cast as Coffee. Her movement practice spans Classical Ballet, Street Dance, Vogue Femme and Movement Meditation, which she brings together with her own lived experience to create work that is both technically grounded and deeply personal.
Having completed a teaching tour across thirteen countries, Lyla now focuses much of her practice on using dance to break down personal and societal barriers, encouraging people to move with greater freedom, connection and self-expression.
Jennifer Clarke
Peppermint

American performer Jennifer Clarke joins the cast as Peppermint. She holds a Master’s degree from East 15 Acting School and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Boston Conservatory, with a background spanning both dance and acting.
Her selected dance credits include Walt Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer 2025, Synergy, Winter Works and Giselle. Theatre credits include Ransacking Troy, Much Ado About Nothing and Far Away From Home: The Travel Plays, while her short film work includes Scalae Sensus, I Am Myself Alone, Compulsive, She’s Making Me Worse and Body Language.

English dancer Charlotte Coles joins the cast as Marzipan. She began her training in ballet before graduating from London Contemporary Dance School, and has since worked across classical and contemporary dance, film and commercial projects.
Her stage credits include touring Scotland in The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, Sisterhood by Indra Reinholde, and James Cousins Company’s We Are As Gods. Her screen work includes a short film directed by Charlotte Graham and a commercial for Aerobica.
Alongside performing, Charlotte is a qualified Royal Academy of Dance ballet teacher, working with students across London.

Their credits include Swan Lake with the St. Petersburg Ballet Festival Tour, Wicked: Part One, and The Open Book Project by Transit Productions.

English performer Phoebe-Rae Levene joins the cast as Tea. Her dance credits include The Soldier’s Tale at the New Wimbledon Theatre, while her theatre credits include The Speech at the Golden Goose Theatre, In The Afterglow at the Hope Theatre, and 13 The Musical at the Ambassadors Theatre.
Her short film credits include Bookyville and I Choose to Mourn by Living.

English dancer, choreographer and performer Jessica Lara Ridge joins the cast as Chocolate. She trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and has performed across contemporary dance, ballet, theatre, film and live performance art.
Her credits include performing with Gangaray Dance Company at the National Dance Theatre of Budapest and with Maday Arts Dance Company as a dancer and soloist in theatres across Budapest. She has also danced for Oscar Jerome and London Frieze Week, performed as a soloist at the Royal Academy of Dance’s International Festival of Choreography, and in Sleeping Beauty at Jacksons Lane Theatre.
Jessica’s own choreographic work has premiered internationally across Europe, including in Budapest and Bulgaria, with new work premiering in London next year. Alongside performing, she has worked as a rehearsal assistant for leading choreographers including Charlotte Edmonds, as a technique teacher at Trinity Laban, and currently works with Fundamentally Dance across productions including Ballet Nights and The Brown Suite.

English dancer Nikki Skinner joins the cast as Holly. She trained at Laine Theatre Arts before performing with Z Bo Jackson at the Manchester Palace Theatre and joining The Phantom of the Opera, covering Meg Giry on the UK and West End productions before playing the role on the international tour.
Her subsequent work includes performing with Ballet Folk, research and development for Mark Baldwin OBE, The Brown Suite with Nahum McLean and Darius Drooh, and dancing and modelling for ASHISH at London Fashion Week.
Greta Benedetta Zappettini

Italian dancer and choreographer Greta Benedetta Zappettini joins the cast as Mistletoe. A graduate of Rambert School, she trained in ballet and contemporary dance and has performed across contemporary, neoclassical and classical repertoire, collaborating with choreographers including Jiří Kylián.
Alongside performing, Greta teaches dancers of all ages and develops her own choreographic work. She also works across the fashion industry as a model, actress and photographer, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to her creative practice.

Mark Rogers

American pianist Mark Rogers accompanies the company live for this performance of A World Of Our Own. Based in London, he specialises in vocal and chamber music and has received prizes at international competitions including the Boulanger Competition in Paris, Lied Festival Zeist and the Helmut Deutsch Competition in Vienna.
He is currently a member of the Young Artist Programme at the Oxford International Song Festival and has performed across the UK and Europe, with appearances at venues including the Alte Aula in Heidelberg, the Palazzo Contarini in Venice and the Scottish Parliament Building, as well as broadcasts for Portuguese Radio.
Mark trained at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has worked as a répétiteur on productions including Eugene Onegin, Cavalleria rusticana, Don Pasquale and HMS Pinafore. He is also the founder and music director of the Westminster Ensemble and works with Live Music Now to bring live performance into underserved communities.
